Hand-Knotted Turkish Kazak Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Turkish Kazak accent rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of cochineal red, aqua, olive, sapphire, coffee, and wheat and centered with a hooked octagonal medallion infilled with an anthropomorphic form. The cochineal red field is populated by parallel rows of geometric motifs and framed by floral meander guard borders, while the primary border displays a leaf and calyx style design over wheat. It is finished with overcast selvedges and cotton warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
