Item Details
A hand-knotted Caucasian wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, apricot, cerulean, and cornsilk. The cranberry colored field features four medallions, each flanked by leaf motifs, and a branching rosette. Framing the field is a main indigo grounded palmette and medallion patterned border, as well as sawtooth guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
