A Japanese ink and gouache on paper painted hanging scroll of bird’s nest with mother and baby birds. It is inscribed along the right edge with black ink and marked with red seals. This work is mounted as a hanging scroll on silk brocade. The piece is weighted with a dowel and to the lower section and hangs with a ribbon affixed to the upper section. A wood storage box is included which is dated 1941 (Showa 16 昭和十六).
