A set of two original watercolors of architecture by artist Reginald Leslie Grooms (Cincinnati, 1900 – 1989). These watercolor paintings on board depicts a house or building. Both are unsigned, but presented in mahogany tone composite frame with a red mat. Both include a wire to the reverse and are ready to hang.
Grooms was a painter, watercolorist, lithographer and teacher. Beginning to paint in water colors at age four, and oils at age eight, Reginald started studying at the Art Academy and went on to receive many prestigious awards. His students include many prominent and listed Cincinnati artists. He later studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and the Academie Julian in Paris. Grooms works have been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Cincinnati Art Club, the University of Cincinnati, and other numerous locations.
