1798 Abraham Taylor British Sterling Silver Candle Wick Trimmer
Item Details
A pair of antique British sterling silver candle wick trimmers by London silversmith, Abraham Taylor. These trimmers features pierced scrolled foliate designs to the handles with engraved zigzag trim and a floral design to the blades and wick catcher. The catcher interior is stamped with the maker’s mark ‘AT’ alongside hallmarks for sterling, London, 1798, and a duty mark for King George III. The approximate weight is 3.160 ozt.
