Item Details
A finely hand-knotted Pakistani Bokhara wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a rich palette of crimson, ivory, black, teal, and mocha. The crimson colored field features a lattice deisgn of Tekke guls, and chemche guls, while framed in a main medallion designed border, along with multiple geometrically patterned guard borders. There are also Turkmen-style designs to the elem panels. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Bokara’.
