A Japanese _shin-hanga woodblock circa 1932, on paper titled Evening in Intako by artist Kawase Hasui (川瀬巴水, Japanese, 1883 – 1957). The work depicts a cottage with an illuminated window, its light shining across a moonlit lake. The composition is signed ‘Hasui’ in plate and sealed to the lower left. The work is presented in a wooden frame under a mat, under glass.

Condition

- discoloration and mat burn to edges of print; some foxing to print and mat; scratches to frame.

Dimensions

- measures frame; visible image measures 6.5" W x 14" H.
