Item Details
A hand-knotted Pakistani Tabriz wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of burnt orange, ivory, indigo, powder blue, wheat, clementine, celedon, and cornsilk. The burnt orange colored field begins with a central medallion surrounded by an array of pendants, along with a chandelier form with a cluster of florettes to each end. There is also an abundance of floral, palmette, and leaf motifs throughout, while enclosed by wheat grounded spandrels infilled with a spiraling vine. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded medallion and floral designed border, as well as floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Pakistan Tabriz’.
