Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Bijar wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, powder blue, indigo, gold, rust, black, rose, hunter, and cornsilk. The ivory colored field and indigo grounded pendant medallion features an allover herati design. Framing the field is a main rust grounded medallion, palmette, and leaf designed border, as well as cartouche patterned guard borders, and meandering minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Bijar’.
