Hand-Knotted Persian Bijar Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Bijar wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, burnt orange, ivory, powder blue, ochre, saffron, mauve, and salmon. The burnt orange lozenged field, hexagonal medallion, and indigo ground features an allover herati design, while framed in a main stylized ivory grounded herati border. The field is also framed in a pair of floral meander guard borders, and a sawtooth minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Persian Carpet’, and ‘Bijar’.
