A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of ivory, scarlet, slate blue, rose, tangerine, wheat, cornsilk, black, and wine. The ivory colored field features an allover floral theme beginning with a central medallion, while framed in a floating scarlet grounded main border infilled with an array of flowers. Finishing this rug are re-wrapped selvedges, and an applied fringe over the original warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Malayer’, ‘Iran’.
