A vintage Italian Renaissance style mahogany savonarola chair. This chair features a curved crest rail with shell, acanthus leaf, and scroll carved embellishments to a rounded back panel flanked by carved stiles topped with bust carved finials. The chair includes curved armrests with acanthus leaf carved, scroll handholds flanking a scoop seat. The chair terminates on a curule style frame with scroll feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
