A needlepoint Carlisle wool area rug attributed to Asmara. This rug is rendered in a palette of custard, ivory, wheat, lavender, sky blue, rose, cranberry, gold, and green hues. The ivory and custard hued field features a tonal floral design, along with colorful blooms sporadically placed throughout. Framing the field is a wheat grounded main border with crenelated lines and meandering colorful flowering vines, as well as a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are folded edges and ends. It is unlabeled.
