Item Details
A vintage handmade Chinese Aubusson area rug by Seagull Carpets. This wool needlepoint rug is rendered in colorway of gold, cranberry, custard, mint, camel, umber, and ivory. The square field is densely populated with arabesqued vines, foliage, lobed rosettes, spotted birds with long crests, and lotus palmettes. Framing the field is a barber pole guard border, while the primary border is comprised of a scrolling floral border over custard. An attached label reads ‘Hand Knotted in the People’s Republic of China’.
