Item Details
A hand-knotted Lahore area rug by Ethan Allen. This Persian-style wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of wine, gold, tangerine, olive, lemon, wheat, and camel and features an allover field pattern of arabesqued lancet leaves, palmettes, and floral motifs. The wine colored field is framed by a floral guard border, while the primary border features a stylized herati pattern over wheat. It is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. A label to the reverse reads ‘Handmade in India’.
