An assortment of Antarctic specimens, journals and topographical maps, collected in the 1960s. The collection includes a Support For Science Antarctica booklet; two 1968 and one 1969 An Antarctic Journal of the United States journals; an Introduction To Antarctica; and Anare Australia’s Antarctic Outposts journal. The collection also includes a wooden stand with eighteen glass vials with specimens; a petrel egg; and two plastic containers with horny coral specimens. The stand of the specimens is labeled with information indicating the specimens were collected during the U.S.S. Glacier Antarctic Expedition conducted January 10 to March 6 1965. The specimens are labeled and include starfish, horny coral, red alga and more. Some bottles include formaldehyde. The collection also includes a large variety of topographical maps of Antarctica and surrounding areas.
