Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Kashan Wool Area Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of custard, raspberry, sky blue, rose, olive, walnut, slate blue, mocha, and indigo. The ivory colored field begins with a diamond medallion, while featuring an array of floral motifs including large branched forms to each end. Framing the field is a main raspberry grounded floral meander border, along with floral meander guard borders, and meandering minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
