Antique Dutch Mahogany and Marquetry Mirror

Item Details

An antique Dutch mahogany and marquetry mirror, 19th century. The veneered, rectangular frame features inlaid floral sprays highlighted by butterflies and a song bird. It is further embellished with stringing and crossbanded edges. The frame houses a conforming, beveled mirror plate and there is a wire on the back for hanging.

- frame missing crest; some veneer cracks, repairs, and small losses; mirror plate with some wear and silvering losses.
