Item Details
An early 20th century French Neoclassical style kingwood and gilt-metal vitrine. The veneered, breakfront case features a removable, black marble top above a stepped cornice and a central, glazed door. The door is flanked by a pair of arched, beveled-glass panels and it opens to a pair of glass shelves before a mirrored back and a velvet-lined bottom. The cabinet rises on six square legs ending in gilt, ball feet and it is unmarked by the maker. It comes with a working key.

- to fair; some light veneer cracks with a few small chips/losses; small chip to trim near left, front corner of frieze; outermost, right legs and back, left leg missing some rope-form, edge mounts which have been replaced by gold-painted, wooden strips; some small chips to interior, glass shelves; other minor surface wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use.
