A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of midnight, camel, cerulean, wine, ivory, emerald, rose, sepia, and mauve. The midnight hued field features a number of rose clusters grounded in cerulean with curled leaves framing each. Framing the field is a main camel grounded samovar border, along with floral meander, and diamond patterned guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is labeled ‘Hariz’, ‘Persian’.
