Antique Ansonia "La Layon" Porcelain Mantle Clock
Item Details
A vintage La Layon mantle clock by the Ansonia Clock Co., circa 1905. This American made timepiece features a round white face displaying black Roman numerals under glass, in a brass bezel, and the voluptuous porcelain case is hand painted with a European windmill landscape, floral motifs and gold trim. The movement is marked ‘Ansonia Clock Co., Patented June 14. 81, New York, U.S.A.’ while the case is marked ‘Royal Bonn, Germany, La Layon.’
