Antique French Provincial Fruitwood and Oak Stools
Item Details
A pair of antique French provincial fruitwood and oak stools, circa 1830. The frames feature square woven rush seats with rounded edges, one of which is applied with bentwood collars. On square legs joined by spindled, double-box stretchers and the underside of the seats retain a few remnants of old, red paint.

- some lifting and losses to seat caning; one stool with losses and repairs to bentwood collars; other stool missing bentwood collars completely; some light shrinkage cracks; legs with some small cracks/losses to upper terminals; some former pest damage (worming); other minor wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use.
