A finely hand-knotted Indo-Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, rust, sky blue, camel, indigo, sage, and wheat. The ivory colored field begins with a central pendant medallion that coordinates with the spandrels, along with a dense shah abbasi design. Framing the field is a main rust grounded stylized herati border, along with a number of floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
