A Chinese French Empire style cloisonné and metal shelf clock. A French empire style clock with a gold-tone metal and royal blue cloisonné case that features enamel floral inlays in a palette of yellow, green and red with gilded trim. The clock has a ceramic dome finial and a tapered bonnet with ring turned gold tone and cloisonné side columns with spire finials. The glass front panel displays a white ceramic dial with black Roman numerals and black serpentine hands with a red sweep hand on a brass center with painted decorative spandrels in green and yellow. Other features of the clock include a quartz movement with a battery compartment on the verso, side panels with painted landscape images and the clock stands on bun style feet.
