An antique engraved map with hand coloring and gilding on laid paper thought to date to the early 19th century after a 17th century map by Willem Janszoon Blaeu (Dutch; 1571 – 1638). The map titled Paraguay, ó Prov. de Rio de la Plata cum regionibus adiacentibus Tucuman et Sta. Cruz de la Sierra depicts Paraguay and the Rio de la Plata along with the surrounding regions of Brasil, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina. The work is presented under glass in a wood frame.

- discoloration to paper; some loss and rubbing to gilding; crease through center; some print transfer to the lower center of map; print from verso of page visible through the front; stain to the lower edge of paper; minor wear to the frame.
