Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian pictorial wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, sky blue, cream, ochre, charcoal, sepia, carnation, peach, indigo, and teal. The crimson colored field features two seated figures surrounded by flowering trees with perched birds, along with dishes, flowers, and birds near their feet. The rug also has two lower medallions with a cream ground infilled with coordinating motifs. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
