Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a variegated and slightly abrash palette of cranberry, indigo, camel, mauve, carnation, ivory, sepia, and teal. The madder red hued field features four serrated medallions ending in pendants, while featuring branched forms and floral motifs. Framing the field is a sepia grounded main stylized floral meander border, along with a pair of sawtooth guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
