An untitled chromolithograph after a work by American artist Granville Perkins (1830 – 1895). This nautical piece depicts the first fleet of American steam-powered battleships to complete an around-the-world trek. It is signed in plate “Granville Perkins” to the lower left corner. The piece is presented without mat, under glass and set in a dark wood frame.

Condition

- dirt and stains pervasive throughout the image area; tear in image paper in middle right; glass does not fit frame – slides from side to side; dark wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame; corner joints do not meet evenly; drill holes in left and right of frame for hanging apparatus.
