A Shona style carved serpentine bust by W. Shama. This piece presents a mother with a child asleep in a sling on her back. The work is inscribed by hand to the verso along the lower edge, with a label to the underside and a label on the chest of the mother reading ‘M/Child, Mai Nemwana’.

- minor scratching to the underside of the piece.
