A carved soapstone sculpture of a ‘mother and child’ motif by sculptor Shama Witty, of Zimbabwe, dated late 20th century. The bust depicts a woman with a sleeping child on her back. The work is signed by the artist to the underside.

Condition

- minor amounts of scratching to the stone; area of orange-tone discoloration to the sculpture; areas of chipping to the stone along the base.
