A tufted Indo- Persian wool area rug. This Tabriz-style rug is rendered in a palette of rose, blush, emerald, sage, wheat, and ivory and centered with a star medallion ending in oversized pendants. The lozenge field is populated with purling vines, lancet leaves, and palmettes and extends to corner spandrels infilled with lotus blooms and palmettes over blush. It is framed with compound floral meander guard borders, while the primary border displays a resolved floral and palmette motif over wheat. The rug is finished with serged selvedges and does not bear a label.
