Mid Century Modern "Dog Biscuit" Side Chairs by Heywood-Wakefield

Item Details

A set of four vintage Dog Biscuit side chairs by Heywood-Wakefield. Originally designed in the 1930s by Count Alexis de Sakhnofsky and slightly modified later by W. Joseph Carr, these birch framed pieces have an iconic ‘dog bone’ back, open to the center and raised on angled supports. These chairs appear to have their original neutral upholstery, and the Heywood-Wakefield brand and original law labels are on the underside.
A set of six more Dog Biscuit chairs with different upholstery is in 18BOS142-063.
