Item Details

An antique horse-drawn Brougham style carriage by Hincks & Johnson of Bridgeport, late 19th to early 20th century. The black- and green-painted frame is decorated with red pinstripes and gilt crowns. It features an enclosed cab with a green, button-tufted interior, brass door handles, and retractable windows. There is an open driver’s seat over four spoked wheels and the carriage comes with wooden shafts in matching paint. The wheel hubs are marked ‘Hincks & Johnson / Bridgeport, Conn.’
