A set of six vintage Modernist cantilever chairs after Marcel Breuer’s (Hungarian, 1902-1981) Cesca. The set includes two armchairs and four side chairs, each of which has a tubular, metal frame with a caned back and seat. The backs and seats feature blonde-wood, finger-jointed surrounds and the chairs rise on cantilever bases. There are no visible maker’s marks.

Condition

- to fair; some minor corrosion to metal frames, particularly on the undersides and bases; one chair with a scuff to upper left of back surround.
