An oil painting on canvas of a wooded scene, dated 1939. This painting depicts a warm-hued forest with orange tree trunks rendered in thick impasto along a body of water. The artist’s illegible signature is present to the lower right corner and appears to read ‘DHL ’39 Stokhotmeskers.’ This piece is presented in a wooden frame with a wire hanger to the verso.

- heavy wear to edges of frame; heavy craquelure present surface of painting; dust and accretions present to frame and painting surface; billow to canvas.
