Item Details
A hand-knotted Qashqai wool area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of brown, bright orange, burgundy, teal, white, madder red, and black. The field is patterned stepped rhomboid pole medallions and symbolic motifs of peacocks, ‘S’ hooks, lobbed flowers, and other animal forms. It is framed with sawtooth line and triangle curled hooked pattern borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
