Mid-Century Mills "Blue-Bell" Fifty-Cent Slot Machine with Kennedy Half Dollars
Item Details
A mid-century Mills Blue-Bell fifty-cent slot machine with Kennedy half dollars. The high-top, metal case is painted in shades of blue, orange, and yellow with oak side panels. It features a three-reel display on the front and a pull handle on the right side. The slot machine comes with a working key to the removable, back panel and it retains the metal collection box on the interior of the case. There is a trademark decal on the exterior, left side panel with an owl perched on a branch. It reads ‘Mills Industries, Incorporated. Chicago, U.S.A.’ The interior has a partial, factory-inspection label and another with serial number ‘592625’. Also included are at least thirteen Kennedy half dollars, as can be seen through the glass display registers. The visible dates include 1967, 1968, 1969, and 1972.
