An offset lithograph after ‘Covered Bridge in Summer’ after Paul Sawyier. Sawyier (1865-1917), an American artist primarily known for landscapes, lived and worked in Frankfort, Kentucky and chose central Kentucky as the focus of his work. This piece depicts landmarks of Frankfort around the Kentucky River, including the Old Covered Bridge, the steeple of the Church of the Good Shepard, and the cupola of the old Post Office. It is signed in the plate to the lower right and numbered 1171/3000. The print is presented unframed, in a cardboard sleeve.
