A pair of early Staffordshire figures depicting and labeled ‘St. Peter’ and ‘St. Paul’. Each figure is in polychrome hand painted decoration and posed with an open bible. St. Peter has keys at his feet and a rooster at his side while St. Paul leans upon his sword. Both figures have a banner at the back impressed ‘Walton’ for John Walton, being the best known of the early Staffordshire potters.

Condition

- St. Paul is in good condition while St. Peter has glaze loss overall.
