A pair of mixed media drawings on paper by listed Cincinnati artist Ruth Rolfsen (1928 – 2018). This set includes a bust portrait of man and a double-sided drawing of multiple nude figures. The works are rendered with conté crayon, pastel, and chalk. A single work is signed to the lower right.

Ruth Rolfsen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and is known for her diverse printmaking skills. She graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and produced a prolific collection of intaglios, serigraphs, cast paper sculptures, mixed media drawings, and lithographs throughout her life. Rolfsen’s work has been exhibited at the WCET Art Gallery and is privately collected.
