Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. The rectangular rug has been woven in shades of coral, salmon, ivory, cerulean, sage, and taupe. A pendant medallion is surrounded on the ivory field by stylized floral motifs including arrangements of flowers in vases. The compound border includes quatrefoil and split leaf and flower minor bands and a stylized herati primary band. The selvedges are overcast and there is short fringe at each end. A faded label is attached to the underside with production information.
