Item Details
A Le Castel Marie Antoinette mantel clock with corbel shelf. This wood cased clock has a painted tole style finish with floral motifs throughout against an amber hued ground, while accented with gilt. The clock has a curvilinear design with a spherical finial to the bonnet, and four scrolled feet, as well as a glass front to the pendulum house. The white clock face displays black Roman and Arabic numerals, a chapter ring, ornate gold toned hands, two key arbors, and it is marked ‘Le Castel’. The corbel shelf coordinates in design and offers hanging hardware, while marked to the verso ‘Castel’, ‘St. Aubin’, ‘Swiss Made’.
