A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Bakhshayesh Heriz wool area rug. This rug features a indigo and cream central medallion on a crimson field with floral decorations in cream, rose, sky blue, and sage green. The spandrels are have a cream background with navy and crimson decoration. It is framed with an compound floral border with an samovar primary border flanked by mirrored navy borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a natural warp ivory fringe on the ends. It is unmarked.
