Vintage Power-Loomed Turkmen-Style Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage power-loomed Turkmen-style wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of scarlet, black, and ivory. The scarlet hued field features a mirrored image of star medallions, and palmette forms to each half of the rug. There are also guls, medallions, and floral motifs throughout. Framing the field is a main black grounded rosettes and medallion patterned border, as well as leaf and blossom designed guard borders. Finishing this rug are folded edges and ends, with one edge knotted ‘100% Wool’. This rug is unlabeled.
