Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Kerman wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a variegated palette of ivory, aqua, powder blue, terracotta, rose, sky blue, teal, gold, fern, and indigo. The ivory hued field begins with a large ornately designed floral filled medallion with a rose ground that radiates with branched leaves surrounding the pendants. The field also features highly detailed colorful floral and leaf bouquets, while enclosed with elaborate flower filled vases, and a number of floral and foliate motifs that flow over a band of aqua. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and the remains of a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
