With printed plates scattered throughout, this book is bound in a maroon clothbound hardcover with gilt lettering and a gilt house printed on the front. Handwritten graphite inscriptions are present to the interior. Also included is Andrew Johnson: Plebeian and Patriot by Robert W. Winston, published 1928 by Henry Holt and Company. This book includes a portrait plate of Johnson with a facsimile signature. It is bound in a blue clothbound hardcover with gilt lettering. The third book is The Age of Hate: Andrew Johnson and the Radicals by George Fort Milton, published 1930 by Coward-McCann, Inc. completed with printed plates throughout. It is bound in a blue hardcover with gilt lettering and a dust jacket. A handwritten dedication is present on the first page.
