Three autobiographical publications on Tennessee and Iowa Civil War infantries. Included is an 1897 edition of Personal Record of the Thirteenth Regiment, Tennessee Infantry by its old commander A.J. Vaughan, published by Press of S.C. Toof & Co. The book is bound in a green hardcover with a red printed cover design and lettering. Also included is a 1975 limited edition reprint of the same book, numbered 150 out of an edition of 500. This book is bound in a green hardcover with a red printed design and lettering to match the 1897 edition. The third book is The Civil War Diary of Cyrus F. Boyd, Fifteenth Iowa Infantry, 1861-1863, edited by Mildred Throne. Published 1953 by The State Historical Society of Iowa, this book is reprinted from teh four issues of Iowa Journal of History, Vol. 50, 1952. It includes some printed black and white plates bound in the middle of the book featuring battles and portraits. This book is bound in a gray paperback cover with blue printed lettering. A graphite inscription is present on the cover.
