McMurray, M.D, published by The Publication Committee, Nashville,Tennessee. The front end papers of this book is inscribed, R.A. Milam, Nashville, Tenn, June 1904’. Plus, a 1908 edition of The Battle of Franklin November 30, 1864 The Bloodiest Engagement of the War Between the States by R.W. Banks, published by The Neale Publishing Company, New York; an 1865 edition of History of the Second Regiment New Hampshire Volunteers its Camps, Marches and Battles by Martin A. Hayes, published by Charles F. Livingston, Manchester New Hampshire; an illustrated 1893 edition of A Sketch of the Battle of Franklin Tenn.; with Reminiscences of Camp Douglas by John M. Copley, published in Austin Texas by Eugene Von Boeckmann Printer and an 1836 cloth on board edition of Dragoon Campaigns to the Rocky Mountains, Being a History of the Enlistment, Organization, and First Campaigns of the United States Dragoons Together with Incidents of a Soldier’s Life, and Sketches of Scenery and Indian Character written by a Dragoon, published in New York by Wiley & Long. Signatures in ink dated 1837 are present. There is also a pencil note, ‘James Hildress’, next to ‘by a Dragoon’, could be an attempt to identify the author.

Condition

The History Book is in good shape, some stains on the cover, minor foxing, The Battle of Franklin (blue) is in good shape with minor foxing and yellowing. Dragoon has some tears, yellowing , ripped spine; the red copy of the Battle of Franklin has water damage, torn and loose pages, and the New Hampshire Volunteers book is in fair shape with torn cover and spine, some foxing and yellowing from age.
