A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, ivory, salmon, sapphire, gold, emerald, and black. The lozenged scarlet colored field features a large-scale star pendant medallion rectilinear designed, along with flowering vine-work. The lozenge is an ivory colored field with coordinating designs and salmon hued spandrels. Framing the field is a main sapphire grounded leaf and blossom border, as well as a meandering guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
