Baum’s Mother Goose in Prose illustrated by Maxfield Parrish (New York: Bounty Books 1986); Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of Mr. Tod (New York: Frederick Warne & Co. 1940) and The Tale of Little Pig Robinson (New York: Frederick Warne & Co. 1958); Robert Browning’s The Pied Piper of Hamelin illustrated by Kate Greenaway (New York: Frederick Warne & Co. c. 1970) Margery Williams’s The Velveteen Rabbit illustrated by Michael Green (Philadelphia: Running Press 1981); (Caroline Van Buren’s Five Little Martins and the Martin House (Chicago: Goldsmith Publishing 1936). The other titles are Pegasus the Winged Horse, (1963) King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table (1954), and Beyond the Horizon: Bobbs-Merrill’s Best of Children’s Literature (1960).
